Graduate student Igor Tolentino, Scientific Initiation scholarship, developed the project Portal of Digital Tools for Educators. Igor is a student of the Music Degree course at the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG), Belo Horizonte and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Luiz Naveda.

Contemplated by the Aldir Blanc Law (LAB) Cultural Emergency, the project responds to the need for clearer pedagogical action plans on technologies and their applications in educational and cultural institutions, due to the new educational realities and due to the impacts of the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. see below.

The development of pedagogical proposals with digital tools has become fundamental in an emergency or contemporary context where a considerable part of teaching has been concentrated in non-face-to-face formats. Through the emergence of the use of DICT in music education and in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic scenario, this research process was initiated at the Corpuslab Research Group.

According to the researcher, the main objective is to provide an information bank in the form of a media portal, to facilitate the discovery and use of digital music applications, concepts and examples of music dynamics and assessment aimed at access and inclusion of educators and students. The aim is not only to propose pedagogical-musical strategies in a digital environment, but to stimulate new proposals on the part of teachers and educators. Watch the presentation video below:

The target audience of the project are music educators, independent music teachers, music or art teachers, public education system servants, parents in a situation of social isolation with children and other interested parties.

The development of practices using digital curatorship has been little explored in music universities, becoming relevant future research that involves beyond theoretical and methodological practices, but also its use with students.
