Luiz Naveda é bacharel em Música (UEMG, 1999), mestre em Performance Musical (UFMG, 2002), doutor e pós-doutor em Ciências da Arte pela Universidade de Gent (2011). Como pesquisador tem se dedicado à investigação do movimento musical e coreográfico, performance e computação musical, arte computacional e design de estruturas de papel. Possui dezenas de publicações e trabalhos premiados em áreas diversas. Tem atuado profissionalmente como artista independente e desenvolvedor de aplicações musicais e multimídia interativa (mais informações em http://naveda.info). Ocupa o cargo de professor de Musicologia da Universidade do Estado de Minas onde atua em programas de graduação e pós-graduação e coorderna diversos projetos.É coordenador do programa de pós-graduação em Artes da UEMG.
